The simple
exterior of the Gite, the former servants' quarters, gives way to
an atmospheric, well-equipped interior, full of character.
The salle de jour retains its original 'four a pain' and has a very attractive beamed ceiling. It contains a dining table seating six, sofa and easy chair, colour television with satellite and DVD player. A selection of DVDs is available. French doors from the salle de jour open onto the courtyard and offer views of the fountain.
Leading from the salle de jour is the spacious shower room, containing shower, toilet, basin and bidet. This room is bathed in reflected light from the pool.
The kitchen is equipped with built-in electric oven, dishwasher, fridge and microwave oven, and its window offers views of the pool area. There is a separate exterior laundry room, with ironing board, washer and dryer and also a large deep freezer.
An open tread staircase leads to the spacious landing, which houses a bookcase containing a wide selection of reading material . The landing leads to two large bedrooms: the master bedroom offers a beautiful king-size sleigh bed, and bedroom two can be arranged as a king-size double or twin as required.
Leading from the second bedroom is a door to a secluded terrace which overlooks the gardens, playhouse and offers views to the hills beyond, and is furnished with wooden garden furniture and barbecue, offering a private outdoor dining area.
La Branche d'Olive has oil fired central heating, if required in the cooler winter months. All bed linen and towels are provided.
La Branche d'Olive is suitable for two couples, or a family of four, plus baby. (A cot can be provided if required.)
